Learn the solid build technique to make a sculpture of an animal in a fun pose! Decorate with underglazes like never before. Previous handbuilding experience is helpful, but not necessary. Liven up your holiday decorations with a hand built gingerbread house made out of clay. We will be using templates, slabs, sprig molds, stamps, and shape cutters to create our "candy" decorated houses. The houses will be finished with a variety of colorful ceramic glazes, making them absolutely irresistible. All materials included.

Coil building is one of the oldest pottery methods. It can be used to create complex forms with various curves. You will create one medium to large vessel inspired by a historical form of your choosing. Over the 4 weeks of class, we will build, refine, and decorate the pots to perfection.
