Have you ever wanted to try painting but were too intimidated? Intrigued by color but reluctant to commit to the cost and care of oil painting? Whether you’ve dabbled in paints a couple of times or have never touched a brush to a canvas before, you will feel more confident and capable once you have explored the basics of color theory and familiarized yourself with materials and techniques while completing a painting from life. This five-session course will take you from creating a color wheel and learning about value and saturation of colors, to mixing and color matching, to painting a still-life. Don’t ever tell yourself you “can’t” do it – you can, with the right approach!   Materials list can be found below or if you have your own supplies, feel free to bring them to class instead.
