We offer classes for adults, teens and children.  Our class sessions run Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Please check back as we update our class offerings seasonally and occasionally add additional classes!

Please note: No refunds will be issued after first class/day of camp. Compensation for missed classes is not available. Refunds for classes & workshops given if cancelled one week prior.  Memberships are non-refundable.

    A great course for newer artists! This class will build on drawing foundations in pencil, charcoal, and ink. We will continue to discuss composition, variety of line, chiaroscuro, and other foundational techniques with increased challenges in subject matter. Don't be intimidated! This is an opportunity to continue your drawing education in an encouraging and positive environment!  Materials list can be found below.

    18x24" mixed media drawing pad, 2-3 sheets of grey, brown, or other color paper (18x24"), charcoals, variety of pencils, ink and steel-tip pen, art-gum eraser, kneaded eraser, conte crayons in black, red, and white. 

    OPTIONAL: Eraser pen (with reloadable eraser “lead”) - Small sketchbook (Moleskine or similar size, up to 8.5x11)

    Ages 12-Adult     

    Learn to use acrylic paint to create a realistic still-life. We will discuss basic color theory, the color wheel, glazing, and texture. A basic understanding of drawing is a definite advantage, but not a requirement! We will do a couple of still-life setups over the course of the six weeks and instructor will demonstrate skills and techniques as well as providing continual feedback to students!  Materials list can be found below or if you have your own supplies, feel free to bring them to class instead.

    Materials list:

    Acrylic paints, studio or student quality, 2 oz tubes in the following colors

    Alizarin crimson, cadmium red medium, cadmium yellow, yellow ocher, ultramarine blue, cobalt blue, pthalo green, hooker’s green, prism violet, burnt sienna, burnt umber, raw umber, mars black, titanium white 

    Painter’s palette (wood, acrylic, or disposable pad)

    Selection of 8-10 brushes, both natural bristle and acrylic, in FLAT and ROUND. Ensure you have a variety of sizes between 2-16, including a flat brush between size 16-30 for broad strokes and underpainting. 

    9”x12” canvas pad (paper)

    3-4 stretched canvases OR hardboard canvas panels, between 16”x20” and 20”x24” (feel free to go slightly larger if you prefer to work big)

    Palette knife

    1-2 glass jars or large mugs with wide mouth

    Acrylic medium (matte or gloss)

    Ages 16--Adult

    Always wanted to try your hand at watercolor painting but don't know how to begin? This 6 week class will take through the basics of what supplies you will need, what painting techniques are unique to watercolor and the step by step process of completing watercolor paintings. The material list will be presented at the first class.  All skill levels welcome. If you have watercolor supplies, please bring them. More advanced students may work independently with guidance from the instructor.

    If you're tired of hearing yourself say "I can't draw," this class is for you. Having a strong foundation in drawing sets you up for success in painting, pastels, and even 3-D media. Over six sessions, instructor Olga will be demonstrating and teaching the basics of drawing, including composition, variety of line, mass and volume, texture, and some color theory. Students will work on a new still-life composition every week, and be exposed to various historical and contemporary artwork as a basis for inspiration and guidance. Learn to draw in a supportive and academic environment!  Materials list can be found below.

    Do you want to explore a new medium? Try soft pastels. This is an introductory class in using pastels. They combine drawing and painting in an exciting way of creating art. All supplies are included in this class as we learn how to use pastels in a variety of techniques

    Ages 16-Adult

    This class will cover the entire lettering process from pencil sketch to inked drawing to digital* finish. We'll start with the basics of drawing individual letterforms and work up to creating your own beautiful hand lettered illustrations, building on lessons covered each week. Chock full of tips and tools for creating concept-driven pieces, there will be demonstrations and one-on-one instructor critiques, as well as hands-on time to work in class. Perfect for beginners wanting to learn the basics, as well as intermediate students looking to dive deeper into incorporating hand lettering in their professional work.  Please bring materials to work in class each week: drawing paper, graph paper, pencils, fine and broad tip markers/ Sharpies, tracing

    paper & ruler.


    *Digital processes will be taught, but not required to create work in this class. If desired, students should have access to a scanner/scanning app on their phone/tablet, & Photoshop, Illustrator or Procreate.

    You know you’ve always wanted to try it! Those “happy little trees and rocks” appear like magic. Here’s your chance to give it a try. We will be painting landscapes in the style of legendary Bob Ross. You’ll be guided through the process step by step. All supplies will be provided as you complete your 3 masterpieces. (Bob Ross hair optional!)
