We offer classes for adults, teens and children.  Our class sessions run Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Please check back as we update our class offerings seasonally and occasionally add additional classes!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF CLASS REGISTRATION DEADLINES.  If you wish to register for a class after the deadline, please contact the NHAC Office (412) 364-3622 or visit the center at 3432 Babcock Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. 

Please note: No refunds will be issued after first class/day of camp. Compensation for missed classes is not available. Refunds for classes & workshops given if cancelled one week prior.  Memberships are non-refundable. 

**Payment required upon registration. Registrations not finalized within 15 minutes are automatically removed as classes have limited space.

    Ages 12 - Adult

    This class is open to students of all skill levels whether you want to strengthen existing skills or learn new ones. We will address the basics of wheel-throwing and sculpture, with the ability to dive deeper into making and glazing techniques. If you've had a project in mind or just want a relaxing way to spend your Monday evenings, this class is perfect for you!   Ask about accessibility options!  Class fee includes clay, glaze, firing, and use of tools.

    YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED A 5 or 6 WEEK POTTERY CLASS AT THE NHAC IN ORDER TO ATTEND OPEN STUDIO POTTERY.

    Experienced potters may work at their own pace and are encouraged to work on the wheel or do hand building. Clay and glazes sold through the studio. **Please note: you must completed a 5 or 6 week pottery class to join this Open Studio Session as there is  NO INSTRUCTION GIVEN First floor studio.

    If you have always wanted to try the wheel, hand build, or need a refresher, this class is for you. Students will create various clay projects of their own choice in a relaxed studio with personal attention. Stoneware and Raku clay available. The last class focuses on glazing. Ask about accessibility options!   Class fee includes clay, glaze, firing & use of tools.
