Have you ever told yourself “I can’t draw”? This class was created to dispel that myth! Anyone can learn to draw, with the right tools & the right instruction. Over the course of six sessions, I will teach you the basics of how to use pencils, charcoal, and other dry media to create a drawing from observation. The class will focus primarily on still life, the most approachable subject when learning to draw. You’ll surprise yourself with how far you can come in just a few weeks!  Materials list can be found below.

Materials list:  Drawing board (minimum size 16x20) 18x24 drawing/mixed media acid-free paper pad Set of pencils ranging in thickness (6B-6H) 1 set conte crayons (black, terracotta red, and white, preferably two sticks of each) Set of thick, loosely packed charcoals (eg: Char-Kohl) in black – optional: shades of dark grey Hard drawing eraser (“ArtGum”) Soft kneaded eraser One sheet of grey, brown, or other neutral toned paper, size 18”x24”
