**Memberships are 'individual' memberships covering ONE student (except for family memberships) .  You can ONLY register the person who has the membership at the member rate (except for family memberships) for classes.  Friends can be registered as a non-member is a SEPERATE transaction.  Registering at the member rate without a membership delays your registration.  You must be fully paid before registration is complete.

We offer classes for adults, teens and children.  Our class sessions run Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Please check back as we update our class offerings seasonally and occasionally add additional classes!

**You can add a 'guest'  to your member registration if your 'guest' is also a member

(for example, for those that have family, patron, etc. memberships which include more than one person in the membership).

If the 'guest' you are adding does NOT have a membership, you will need to register them in a separate transaction from your member rate transaction, and register them as a non-member.  Registering them as a member delays their registration as all registrations must be paid in full before they are considered final.

    Experienced potters may work at their own pace and are encouraged to work on the wheel or do hand building. Clay and glazes sold through the studio. **Please note: you must completed a 6 week pottery class to join this Open Studio Session as there is  NO INSTRUCTION GIVEN First floor studio.

    Using plant material, students will imprint botanical designs in clay. You can bring your own favorite leaves or use the many different plants that will be provided. Students will learn how to form the clay into a plate form using a slump mold in the first class. Second class focuses on glazing.  NO CLAY EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  All materials included

    Adult Art Intensives are day long art experiences where we explore a specific art medium or material in different ways. Please bring a lunch. All materials will be provided; limited to 8 persons.

    This art intensive day focuses on watercolors. We will use oriental brushes to paint Chinese calligraphy and natural elements such as, bamboo. After a 30 minute lunch break, we’ll look at Georgia O’Keeffe flower paintings and create a watercolor in her unique style.

    Learn to create stunning fused glass pendants, earrings and pins. Beginner and experienced glass artists can make up to 8 pieces of wearable art.     This art intensive day focuses on Vincent van Gogh’s Expressionist

    painting technique of using the paint in thick directional brush strokes. We will spend the day creating an oil painting using a palette knife to create the heavy textured paint application as van Gogh did.

    Join us for this fun evening of throwing clay on the pottery wheel. Make it even more fun with a ‘throw down competition’ by taking this workshop with your significant other, friend or family member. You will be able to try your hand at creating a piece of pottery in a fun relaxing atmosphere. At the end of the night, you will select a piece to be bisque fired & glazed for pick up later  All materials included

    Ages 13-Adult

    Fall is here and you need some new decorations! Using some hand building techniques (no experience needed), you will create clay pumpkins and gourds for your fall decor. We will have the real thing to look at for inspiration as we form our pieces. Once the pieces have been bisque fired, you will return to add the finishing touches as you apply the ceramic glazes. The pieces will be fired again and will be ready for you to pick up before Halloween! NO CLAY EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  All materials included

    Don't throw away your old art! In this workshop we will discuss and CREATE something new from old work by adding, deleting or creating new areas. Samples of reworked oils/acrylic and watercolor will be shown. Instructor will discuss the process used to give it a fresh look. Please bring: bring sketch book, pencil, eraser and color pencils. Supplies for the second class will be discussed at first according to the medium they are working in.

    Give handwork a try with this small (approx. 6” x 7”) completely hand sewn bag perfect for a cell phone and/or credit cards. The body of the bag is Boro-inspired stitching. Boro is an historical Japanese patching method used to extend the life of garments and household textiles, as relevant now as it was centuries ago, being rediscovered as part of sustainable lifestyle. The pouch is hung on a cross-body length cord (can be altered) and closes with a velcro dot. Beginner stitchers welcome.  All materials included.

    Every pup in your life needs a hand knit cowl-or two!  Learn the basics of knitting (casting on, knit and purl stitches, binding off) plus how to seam. This pattern is easily adjustable. You’ll be able to knit this up in no time for holiday gifting-or keep for yourself!

    Bowls out of wool?!? Why not? We will use the wet felting method to create beautiful and usable bowls using wool roving. This is a wet and rather physical process using your hands and arms to felt the bowls.  Limited space.  All materials included.

    This workshop is for 'caregiver & me!  Come 'play with clay' with your little one on a focused project.  You'll work as a team to build a pair of baskets with woven clay strips that you can bring home and show off to all of your friends.   Class fee includes clay, glaze, and firing.

    Learn basic weaving techniques in this beginners class using a picture frame as a loom. Learn to warp the frame for weaving and techniques such as tabby, twinning, rya knots, rya loops & finishing. Finished piece can be left on the frame or removed and attached to a dowel or branch. Please bring an 8”x10 or 9”x12” wooden picture frame (glass/backing removed), 6” tapestry or weaving needle, 3” tapestry needle, at least 3 coordinating yarns (#5 or above - textured yarns work great for this project), plastic fork or weaving beater, dowel/branch (if removing weaving from frame).
