Participants in this workshop will be able to choose the colored paper they want to use in order to maximize the effects of the colored pencil on their artwork. General color theory will be referenced in order to assist with choices. A simple drawing should be completed in the workshop. Materials list below.

    Instructor: Jeanne Perrier

    Date: Saturday 3/23

    Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

    Materials List:

This list is basic and allows you to mix further colors. I suggest Prismacolor pencils. If you do not have any pencils, a set of 24 would be good. If you have Faber Castell, Polychromos, Caran D'Ache, Royal Talens, or Derwent pencils these should be just fine. The point is to have artist quality with which to work.

Please bring an assortment of Prismacolor pencils, including white and sepia. Also bring a graphite pencil, HB or 2H, kneaded eraser, a white plastic eraser, and ruler. If your pencils are new please sharpen them prior to class, and be sure to sharpen the end opposite the color name and number. You will need a small stiff paint brush, such as those used for acrylics. This does not need to be of high quality. Also bring a drawing or photo that will fit on 8x12 paper. The paper, transfer paper, and tracing paper will be provided by the instructor.
