Drafting film is a different approach to using colored pencils.  You can achieve great depth using it.  In this workshop you will learn how to use this surface for your art.  Bring an 8x10 drawing or copy of a photo for reference.  A simple drawing will be completed in this workshop.  Materials list below.

    Instructor: Jeanne Perrier

    Date: Saturday, 7/27

    Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Materials List: This list I am giving you is very basic and allows you to mix further colors. I suggest Prismacolor pencils as they are easier to find and less expensive than other artist quality pencils.  If you do not have any pencils a set of 24 would be good.  If you have Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran D'Ache, Royal Talens or Derwent, those would be fine.  The point is to have artist quality with which to work.

Please bring an assortment of Prismacolor pencils, including white and sepia. Also bring a kneaded eraser, a white plastic eraser and a hard surface on which you will draw. A clip board will work just fine.  If your pencils are new  sharpen them prior to class and be sure to sharpen the end opposite the color name and number. Bring a drawing or a copy of a photo that will fit on 7x10 film. The film will be provided by the instructor.
