As the summer colors are in full bloom, this workshop will explore ways we can capture both the final summer flowers. We will prepare cotton and silk fabrics to accept plant materials through steaming (eco dyeing and bundle dyeing), direct transfer or hapa-zome (leaf dye or pounding the plants into the cloth), and solar printing.

Bring any flowers, berries and leaves from your gardens for dyeing. There will be an assortment of plant material to use if you do not have access to plants.  All materials included.
