The workshop is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced crafters, and  focuses on eco-friendly, low-waste  techniques.     Have you ever wanted to learn the basics of weaving? This weekend class covers all the basics as you weave your own scarf for the coming cooler weather. You’ll warp a 16” rigid heddle loom, on Saturday, learn to weave on Sunday, take your loom home to finish your scarf and return on Saturday to learn how to take your project off the loom, tie your fringe, and take it home! All materials included.

    Come take a first dip in the sashiko pool! Sashiko is a traditional Japanese needle art prized for both its functional and decorative uses. The traditional sashiko work flow makes for a relaxing stitching experience. While making a pair of coasters, you will choose a design, mark your fabric, stitch, and finish. You will then leave class with enough materials for a 2nd project on your own! All materials included.

    Add a pop of color and handmade detail to your wardrobe with your own pair of handwoven shoelaces! In this class you will learn the basics of tablet weaving by creating a pair of custom shoelaces. You will expand your skills with a second project of your choice: another pair of shoelaces, a set of bookmarks, a dog or cat collar, a purse strap-endless possibilities! All materials included.

    This class explores a new way of creating landscapes with yarn. A pre-drilled picture frame with warp cords will be provided and you will learn a variety of weaving techniques and ways to work with fiber to create a unique landscape picture. Bring a metal yarn needle and various yarns to class.

    Need an accessory to hold your cash or cards? Crochet your own bracelet wallet with beaded embellishments in this workshop. All levels welcome, beginner or advanced. Bring your favorite yarn color and hook (3.75 mm preferred) or use our supplies. Decorative beads will be provided, or you can also make your own during the workshop. All materials included.

You’ll learn how to cut, shape, and stuff sweater sleeves into snowballs and add hats, faces, and embellishments to create a finished snowman that is both festive and sustainable.     Using preformed wool roving balls and a variety of colored roving, you will learn how to needle felt wool ornaments for your Christmas tree. At the end of this workshop you should have 2-3 ornaments to decorate with or give as gifts. No experience necessary. All materials included.

    Needle felting with colorful wool roving is a great technique to create a unique painting. First we will plan our painting to fit on an embroidery hoop, which is provided.
