Unleash your child's creativity with North Hills Art Center classes and workshops.


  • Classes are designed to be age-appropriate. Please make sure you are enrolling your child in a class that matches his or her current age.
  • For the safety of your child, we require prompt pick-up after class.
  • Remember to have your child wear old clothes.
  • Please let us know in advance if your child has any special needs.
  • All North Hills Art Center instructors have the required PA Clearances.
  • Consider a $25 student membership, which costs less than the $30 nonmember fee!

    Ages 7-11

    Lets get our hands dirty forming clay into a variety of pieces! We will use slabs, coils and pinched forms to make cups, bowls, sculptures and more. In the last class, we will glaze everything we created. All materials included.

    Dates: Thursdays 2/12 - 3/19

        Hey there Mud Buds! Throughout our 5 weeks together we will learn the method to the madness of clay. We will start with handbuilding by making bobble heads, name plates and pinch pots. Then we will work on mastering the wheel by throwing bowls and mugs. Bring your creativity and imagination. All skill levels welcome. All materials included.

        In this class you will use your creativity to bring your unique ideas to life. We will be wheel throwing and hand building with clay to create funky, fabulous pieces. You will build, shape, sculpt and glaze your own pieces using inspiration and imagination. All materials included.

        Want to try the pottery wheel? We’d love to show you how. Come learn all the basic skills needed to make your own pottery. The first 4 weeks we get our creations ready for the first kiln firing. Then we come back to glaze all our pieces before their final firing. Bring your ideas and let’s make it happen.
