We will be using templates, slabs, sprig molds, stamps, and shape cutters to create our "candy" decorated houses. The houses will be finished with a variety of colorful ceramic glazes making them irresistible.

    Whether you are just starting out or looking to hone existing skills, this workshop offers tools to help you gain more control in your work.  We will learn basic watercolor physics, practice 3 foundational wash techniques and learn to avoid the watercolorist's most common pitfall.

    Materials: Please bring a large round watercolor brush (such as size 16) and a small watercolor brush (such as size 8). Paint and paper will be provided. If you prefer to use your own paint, feel free to bring it instead.

    During this 4 week course, students will learn the different paint styles and how to work with acrylic or oil paint. The class will focus on blending paint and the beginning phases of perspective in a painting.

      The hot wax dye process of batik will be used to create unique paintings on cotton. We will start by applying wax to save the white areas and continue applying dyes as we paint the picture.       Cancellation Policy: Registrations may be cancelled up to seven days before the start of class by contacting the office. Cancellation of this class will result in a $25 cancellation fee, to be deducted from the refund amount.
