The North Hills Art Center supports local artists in a variety of ways.

We provide a vibrant gallery to showcase artwork throughout the year. We also provide the opportunity for emerging artists and local arts groups to rent our gallery space and hold their own private shows.

Members of the NHAC enjoy lower fees when entering shows and taking classes; they enjoy discounts at several local art supply and framing shops; they are the first to know about upcoming events via our email newsletter.  Members also qualify for free entry into our Artisan Markets.

WINTER SHOW: CALL FOR ART

Drop-off is the last week of January!

In this season of short days and long nights, we want to know what you see in the dark! From landscapes after dark to nocturnal animal portraits, bring us artwork inspired by the hours between dusk and dawn. For inspiration, see the following gallery:

INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS

  • If you would like to enter your work for one of our open calls, bring your entries to the art center during drop-off. See specific call for drop-off and pick-up hours.
  • Artists may bring up to 3 works of art for entry. Entry fees are $15 per piece for nonmembers or $10 per piece for members.
  • Shows hosted by the NHAC are not juried for entry. Shows hosted by the NHAC include an awards ceremony and opening reception.
  • All artists must agree to the policies outlined in the Gallery Contract. For your convenience, we recommend printing and completing the contract in advance to bring with you for drop-off. In addition, you may print and complete Gallery Tags in advance for each of your submitted works. If you do not have access to a printer, you may complete the contract and tags at the art center upon your arrival.
  • All 2D work must be wired and prepared for display. Please attach the Gallery Tag to the wire, back, or underside of the piece.
  • Unless otherwise noted, all entries must be original work and they must be priced for sale. The NHAC claims a 30% commission.
  • Entered pieced cannot have been judged in a previous NHAC show.
  • Our gallery is family-friendly and we reserve the right to refuse works on the basis of inappropriate content.

We offer discounted
gallery rental rates
for emerging artists!
