  This class is for the student who wants to start painting but doesn't know where or how to start and doesn't want to invest in supplies until they've tried them out. We will sample acrylic, oil, and watercolors during this 6 weeks. All materials included.

  Students will focus on blending with value studies and the process of preparing a canvas before painting it. We will discuss the ways in which you can find multiple colors within a picture. If requested, skin tones will also be discussed and students will be taught to blend their own. By the end of this class, students will have a better understanding of color theory. Materials list.

Experienced painters can develop their style or try a new technique, while new artists will be taught the basics of composition, color theory and techniques. Paint from a still life or bring a photo or picture.
