PAINTING AT VINCENTIAN HOME

Help bring the healing power of art to residents at Vincentian! We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to assist once or twice per month with a painting session. Materials are provided by the art center and the sessions are lead by emeritus board member Ruthann Farinacci.

Fall Garden Clean-up

Join us for a fall garden clean up and perennial planting on Sunday, September 27 from noon until 3:00 pm. All are welcome; no previous garden experience is necessary! If you have garden tools, please bring them. Come whenever you are able during that time.
Rain date: Sunday, October 11 from noon until 3:00 pm.

Garden Perennial Donations

Are your perennials expanding more than you would like? Please consider donating the extras to the Art Center garden. We would love to plant more beautiful flowers for all to enjoy.

If you are selected, we will feature your artwork on our website for one month and we will give you a shout-out on social media! No strings attached.


Material Donations

While we truly appreciate when our members and community think of the art center when they have art supplies to donate, there are some things we can't use right now. Please refer to the list below for items we are in search of. If you have supplies to donate that are not on our Currently Seeking list, we kindly ask that you call or email the office before bringing the items in, so we can ensure we have space and a suitable purpose for them. Thank you very much for your thoughtful and conscious donations!

CURRENTLY SEEKING DONATIONS

One man's garbage is another man's art supplies! 

  • Candles - We'll take any size, any shape, and any color; as long as they are free of any container.  Drop off candles inside during office hours or leave them on the table outside near the back door any time. Thank you!
  • Newspaper, newsprint paper, packing paper - This keeps pottery safe for transportation home. You can drop paper off in the pottery room during office or class hours. Thank you!
  • Sawdust - We use sawdust as a crucial combustible material during Raku pottery firings. You can drop bags of sawdust off at the table outside the back door at any time, but please let us know if you have left a donation so we can put it away. Thank you!

The North Hills Art Center has successfully provided art and arts enrichment to our community for over 65 years. We have not done this alone.

VOLUNTEER PERKS

For every hour you volunteer or teach, you will receive $1 in our "Art Bucks." Art Bucks can be used toward classes, workshops , or other products offered by the North Hills Art Center! Credits are issued quarterly.
