  There is a reason why we loved using our imaginations and getting our hands dirty as children. Creating is an integral part of every one of us! Join us for a fun, refreshing and completely judgement free class as we learn the basics of wheel throwing. Learn to make one-of-a-kind, unique to you mugs, bowls, and vases, while tapping into that inner-child and finding joy in getting your hands muddy again. While this class will be going over the basics, all levels are welcome. All materials included.

  As the spring flowers burst forth and bloom we will use their beauty as inspiration to create flowers out of clay. Wek one of this two part workshop will use handbuilding techniques to form the flowers. Week two will focus on adding color with the glazes and underglazes.   All materials included.

That's what Raku pottery is all about.  This three week course will focus on wheel and hand building raku pieces that will be fired during the last class out back in our raku kiln.   Every garden needs a clay garden totem to watch over the beautiful flowers and plants. You will design and create a themed totem using hand building techniques.  The totem will consist of 4-5 elements that will be glazed and stacked on a metal rod for your garden. Themes might be geometric forms, birds, animals, etc.  All materials included.

  Add a personal touch to your painting adventure with a handbuilt ceramic palette and a water cup with a brush holder.  No experience needed as we will use clay slabs to make the items in this 2 hour workshop. The pieces will be finished with a clear glaze by NHAC staff. Bring your 2 favorite brushes to the workshops. All materials included.
