  Learn the solid build technique to make a sculpture of an animal in a fun pose! Decorate with underglazes like never before. Previous handbuilding experience is helpful, but not necessary. Come to class with an animal in mind and with reference photos. We sculpt in 3D so you need multiple angles of your animal. Printed references are preferred, but your phone will do.

  Liven up your holiday decorations with a hand built gingerbread house made out of clay. We will be using templates, slabs, sprig molds, stamps, and shape cutters to create our "candy" decorated houses.   Coil building is one of the oldest pottery methods. It can be used to create complex forms with various curves. You will create one medium to large vessel inspired by a historical form of your choosing. Over the 4 weeks of class, we will build, refine, and decorate the pots to perfection.
