Explore colored pencils and some of the effects you can create in using them. This workshop offers a foundation for the various pencil techniques used. The morning includes basics and the afternoon addresses more specialized work. Bring a lunch! Materials list below.
Instructor: Jeanne Perrier
Date: Saturday, 8/17
Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Materials List:
This list I am giving you is very basic and allows you to mix further colors. I suggest Prismacolor pencils as they are easier to find than many of the European brands. If you have a set of artist quality pencils such as Faber Castell Polychromos or Derwent, those would be fine. The point is to have artist quality with which to work.
Please bring the following: Lemon Yellow #915, Apple Green #912, Grass Green #909, Parrot Green #1006, True Blue #903, Imperial Violet #1007, Violet #932, Mulberry #995, Magenta #930, Poppy Red #922, Orange #918, and Yellowed Orange #1002. Please also bring a graphite pencil, HB or 2H, a kneaded eraser, a white plastic eraser and a pencil sharpener. Please have your pencils sharpened before class and sharpen the end opposite the color name and number.
