  As we enjoy the beautiful fall colors and changing season, we will take our inspiration from the trees around us. We will create hand built and wheel thrown clay forms using bark, leaves, and seeds as reference and decoration. We will create bark texture, make seed sprig molds and stamps and use leaves for impressions as we create our pottery pieces. All materials included.

  All experience levels welcome in this general pottery class.  We will cover both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques in the 6 week course.  Experienced students can improve their skills and beginners can learn the basics. Everyone will create some unique pottery pieces.  The last class will focus on glazing.  A raku firing will be scheduled if the class is interested. All materials included.

  Liven up your holiday decorations with a hand built ginger-bread house made out of clay. We will be using templates, slabs, sprig molds, stamps, and shape cutters to create our "candy" decorated houses. The houses will be finished with a variety of colorful ceramic glazes making them irresistible. All materials included.

  Let's involve your tactile senses to slab build a clay mug and select a glaze to finish the mug. Now the real fun begins! At the 2nd class, use your new mug as we will dive into the world of coffee with a certified coffee master. Explore the journey from bean to cup of the most popular drink around the world. You will have the opportunity to taste a variety of coffees (with food pairings) and learn about the "roast curve" while you find the perfect blend for you! All materials included.

  Using Georgia O’Keeffe’s landscapes, we will explore color mixing and the importance of values in a painting. We will use acrylic paints and canvases to expand our color mixing skills. The first painting will be done as a class. Students will work from their own reference photo for the second painting. All materials included.

  The hot wax dye process of batik will be used to create unique paintings on cotton. We will start by applying wax to save the white areas and continue applying dyes as we paint the picture. The entire painting will be soaked in black dye to create the "batik" look. The wax will be melted off and the painting is complete. All materials included.

  Painting with watercolors is such a fluid and exciting process. We will explore the unique qualities of watercolors as we create our paintings. All skill levels welcome as we review the supplies and processes to complete works of art. Students will be able to work along with the instructor, as well as work on individual projects. We will master a variety of watercolor techniques.
