Ages 16+
The morning will focus on the different ways to use color and values, especially in the shadow areas. In the afternoon, students will have a choice of project; selecting one of two references to paint. Layering techniques will be demonstrated along with several tips. Students should have some watercolor knowledge. Students are responsible for their own supplies and encouraged to bring a lunch or snack.

Supplies should include:
Paints: what you usually work with
Brushes in various sizes: flats, rounds - what you usually work with
Jar for water
Paper towels
Spray bottle (if you use one)
Paper: Cold press, 300 lb. paper, 9x12 (nothing smaller)
Suggested papers are Strathmore, Fluid, Arches and Canson; inexpensive papers do not hold up well, however Canson, blue cover and Hobby Lobby 140 lb. will work.
