Come make TWO beautiful silk scarves in this shibori scarf workshop.  Shibori is the art of folding, twisting and clamping cloth before dyeing to create intricate patterns. In the advanced Shibori workshop, we will explore binding, "kumo" (spiderweb), "kanoko" (rings), "ori nui" (fold stitching), "mokume" (tree bark stitching) and "karamatsu" (Larch tree stitching). These advanced techniques will require the use of needles & thread to sew & bind the silk scarves. The sewing techniques will be practiced first before you stitch, bind, and dye TWO scarves.  All materials included.
