  • Please choose this option only if you have a current NHAC membership. Choosing this option without a current membership delays finalizing your registration. Thank you.
  • Please choose this option if you do not have a current NHAC membership. If you are registering a student (grades k thru 12), please consider the $20 yearly student membership-it's the same cost as the $20 non-member fee! As an adult signing up for more than one class, it will cost less to add a yearly membership instead of paying the non-member fee for each class! Please click on the MEMBERSHIP tab for more information. Thank you.

Fire & Clay!! It's the perfect combination!! We will spend two classes making pieces for both a Raku firing and a pit firing. No clay experience is needed to hand build pieces. If you have wheel throwing experience, you are welcome to work on the wheel to make your pieces. The third class will be the Raku/pit fire. There are 30+ raku glazes to use on your pieces and a variety of oxides to use on the pit fired pieces to create flame induced colors. The Raku and pit firings are not food safe, so pieces create are strictly decorative. Class fee includes clay, glaze, firing, and use of tools.

Instructor: Diane Pontoriero

Dates: Saturdays, 5/13-6/3

(no class 5/27)

3 sessions

Time:  1:00pm-3:00pm
