This technique workshop is based on working on wood as a drawing surface and experiencing the different effects this can have on your artwork.  Participants can bring a photo or a drawing that will fit on a circular 6.5" piece of wood or they can use a template provided by the instructor.  Wood and transfer paper will be provided.  Materials list below.

Instructor: Jeanne Perrier

Date: Saturday 4/20

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Materials List: The list I am giving you is very basic and allows you to mix further colors. I am suggesting Prismacolor pencils, as they are easier to find and less expensive than other artist quality pencils. If you do not have any pencils a set of 24 would be good. If you have  Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran D'Ache, Royal Talens or Derwent, these should be just fine. The point is to have artist quality with which to work. Your work can only be as good as the quality of your supplies.

Supply list:  Please bring and assortment of Prismacolor pencils including white and sepia. Also bring a graphite pencil HB or 2H, kneaded eraser, a white plastic eraser, and ruler.  If your pencils are new, please sharpen them prior to class and be sure to sharpen the end opposite the color name and number.

Please email the instructor with any questions at jeanne.perrier@att.net or call at 412-952-3003
