  Looking for something fantastic to do on a cold autumn day? Slip into the richness of warm pastels and create some fall magic! We will be using basic drawing skills and using pastels on a black background, which creates a beautiful dramatic effect. Moderate skill level. Please bring a hard copy of a reference, NOT from your phone. All other materials included. Optionally, students may bring their own supplies.

  We will be focusing on the texture of animals using acrylic paint on leather like canvas. This surface really lends itself to creating wonderful fur and scales and it is very easy to do. The techniques we learn are great to try on boots, shoes and purses. Bring a hard copy animal photo. All materials included.

  Join us for some mindful drawing that involves creating structured, repetitive patterns in a Zentangle-inspired form. The “zen” comes from the meditative qualities of the process, while “tangle” refers to the patterns created using simple, repetitive strokes. All materials included.
